Award: Two scholarships, one of $1000 and one of $500 will be awarded by the Massies Mill Ruritan Club in 2020. New recipients will be selected each year. A previous recipient may reapply. Scholarship applications are due April 30, 2020.

Selection of Recipient:

1. Must be a resident of Nelson County with one of the following zipcodes: 22967, 22976, 22964, 22922. (Note: our area of Roseland/Massies Mill, Montebello, Piney River, Lowesville, and Arrington)

2.  Recipient must have been accepted by or attending an accredited

• College
• University
• Junior College
• Trade School or equivalent

   3. Recipient must have good character

   4. Financial circumstances will be a factor in case of more than one candidate applying   

   5. Recipient must attend a meeting of the Club to meet the members and to accept the award.

Awarded Scholarship Funds:

Funds will be deposited into an account at the institution the recipient will attend once the recipient is enrolled.
